Academic Regulations
The Academic Regulations outline the requirements and expectations governing study at Immanuel Theology Educational Institute International. They provide students with guidance regarding their academic responsibilities, progression through their programme and completion of required learning activities. Students are expected to complete the required Modules, assessments and examinations applicable to their programme. Academic progress is determined according to the assessment and academic requirements of Immanuel. All students are responsible for familiarising themselves with the regulations applicable to their programme.
1. Purpose
The Academic Regulations provide students with an understanding of the academic requirements and expectations applicable to their studies at Immanuel Theology Educational Institute International.
Students are expected to familiarise themselves with these regulations and to take responsibility for progressing through their programme according to the requirements communicated by Immanuel.
2. Programme Structure
Immanuel offers theological and ministry education through structured programmes of study.
The 2026 Prospectus describes Immanuel’s programmes as internet-based and suitable for distance learners, with students able to undertake their studies through electronic and online learning resources.
Students may progress through their programme according to their individual circumstances and the requirements of their chosen programme.
3. Distance and Online Learning
Immanuel’s online learning model allows students to undertake their studies without being required to attend a traditional campus on a daily basis.
Learning materials may be provided electronically, and students may complete their academic work remotely.
The Prospectus recognises that students have different circumstances, with many students working full-time or being involved in ministry while studying. Students may therefore progress through their studies at different rates.
4. Student Registration
Students are required to complete the appropriate registration process before commencing their programme.
The Prospectus states that students must enrol through the Immanuel website for registration and that a unique registration number is issued for access to study material.
Students must provide accurate information and any documentation required by Immanuel during the admissions and registration process.
5. Academic Materials
Students receive the learning materials applicable to their programme and Module.
The Prospectus states that payments must reflect in Immanuel’s account before lectures are released and that students are required to pay the necessary registration fee together with the fees applicable to their studies before commencing the training programme.
Students are responsible for making appropriate use of the learning materials provided to them.
6. Academic Progression
Students are expected to work progressively through the requirements of their programme.
The online nature of the programme allows students to study according to their circumstances. Some students may progress quickly, while others may require a longer period to complete their studies.
Where Immanuel establishes prerequisites or progression requirements for a particular programme, students must satisfy those requirements before progressing to the next stage of their studies.
7. Tests, Assignments and Examinations
Students are required to complete the tests, assignments, examinations and other academic requirements applicable to their programme.
The 2026 Prospectus provides for students to submit tests and assignments electronically and also identifies examinations as part of the assessment process.
Students are responsible for completing and submitting their academic work according to the instructions provided by Immanuel.
8. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to complete their academic work honestly and responsibly.
Submitted work must represent the student’s own academic effort and understanding.
Students must not knowingly submit another person’s work as their own or provide misleading information regarding their academic work.
Where concerns arise regarding the authenticity or integrity of submitted work, Immanuel may require further clarification or additional assessment.
9. Completion of Studies
Students must complete the academic requirements applicable to their programme in order to qualify for the relevant award, certificate, diploma or degree.
Completion is dependent upon satisfying the academic and administrative requirements established for the student’s programme.
Students should ensure that all required assessments, examinations, fees and other applicable requirements have been completed before requesting final certification.
10. Fees and Academic Access
Students are responsible for payment of the fees applicable to their programme.
The Prospectus provides for students to pay their training fees as they progress through their studies, with the understanding that fees must be paid before the next learning materials are released. Students may also have the option of paying upfront for a complete training year where applicable.
11. Student Responsibility
Students are responsible for:
- Maintaining their registration with Immanuel.
- Keeping their contact information up to date.
- Completing required academic work.
- Submitting assessments as instructed.
- Preparing for examinations where applicable.
- Making required payments.
